HANGING OF THE GREENS WORSHIP AND GATHERING, 6:15 P.M., SANCTUARY
All are welcome to our Hanging of the Greens worship service this Sunday, December 3, to learn more about the significance of the colors of Christmas and the Chrismons that decorate our trees. Following worship, gather for a soup dinner, craft time for children and to help decorate the church campus. (Please note that because of this event, Youth will not meet this Sunday.) All families are invited to bring an ornament to place on the tree in the Atrium.
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 10
ENCOUNTER CHRISTMAS, 10:50 A.M., FAMILY LIFE CENTER
The Encounter worship service on Sunday, December 10, will feature voices, guitars, handbells, trombones, drums, melodicas, cellos, dulcimers and pianos playing traditional Christmas folk songs alongside contemporary tunes. There will also be a time of acoustic Christmas caroling.
BLUE CHRISTMAS WORSHIP, 7:00 P.M., SANCTUARY
Are the holidays a difficult time for you? If so, you are invited to our Blue Christmas worship service on Sunday, December 10, a special time of prayer, songs of grace and comfort, candles and healing. This service is for those who are grieving, have lost a loved one, are dealing with depression or other issues that make this a less than “merry” time of year. Come, find a quiet place with others who understand to spend a meaningful moment with God.

Our youth in 7th-12th grade will shop for needed items to those served by Mission Arlington.

EMMAUS COMMUNITIES CHRISTMAS GATHERING

St. Barnabas is hosting the Arlington-MidCities and Fort Worth Emmaus Communities Christmas Gathering at our church this year. The evening will begin with a Christmas sing-along in the Sanctuary at 7:00 p.m. followed by a time of worship. After worship, all will gather for food and community time in the Family Life Center. Everyone is invited to attend! If you've never been on a Walk to Emmaus and are curious about this unique retreat, this is an excellent opportunity to learn more about it.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 16
CHRISTMAS CAROLING, 10:00 A.M.
Our church family is invited to join our youth and children's choirs as they visit four area senior living facilities to spread holiday cheer through the singing of Christmas carols. Meet at the church at 10:00 a.m. before heading to the first stop. Following the caroling time, our children and youth (and anyone else!) are invited to go to Arlington Skatium at 12:40 p.m. for rollerskating, returning to the church by 3:00 p.m. The cost for skating is $7 per person plus $2 for skate rental (bring money for snacks).

At this service of Lessons and Carols, the congregation are invited to share in the reading of Scripture and the singing of carols.
GOD IS WITH US CANTATA, 9:30 and 11:00 A.M., SANCTUARY
Celebrate the season as our Chancel Choir presents God Is with Us, a compilation of lessons and carols. Through a Scripture narrative and the combination of moving classical music, a Gregorian chant and some of the most loved Christmas carols, this cantata will tell the story of Christmas.
UNITED COMMUNITY CENTER POTLUCK AND CELEBRATION, 5:00 P.M.
This year we are partnering with the Polytechnic United Community Center in Fort Worth for our Angel Tree Outreach. On Sunday, December 17, our church family will host a fun night for the children and parents served by the center, including a potluck dinner, games for the children and a wrapping room for parents.
